The clip has been shared widely on YouTube after footage shows two objects appear on screen in the background before veering off in a different direction.
An apparently normal television broadcast has gone viral after two UFOs were spotted on a screen by viewers.
The broadcast on KOIN 6 News in Oregon in the United States shows the news team discussion the day’s headlines at their desk, with a view of the city of Portland on screen in the background.
While they talk, two bolts of light appear to shoot across the sky on the screen behind them, then appear to veer away in a different direction through the night sky.
Some viewers couldn’t believe their eyes, and the broadcast was shared on YouTube, with one commenter saying it “couldn’t have been more real”.
The clip has notched up 150,000 views on The Hidden Underbelly 2.0 channel and has sparked a fierce debate.
Jose Santana was among those who believe the truth is out there. He wrote: “What will the critics say, that it was a lens flair? I don’t think so. That was the real deal.”
But other commenters cast the UFO theory in doubt and suggested it was probably the headlights from an expensive car. Others say it was more likely just to be a lens flair.
The news follows a report of a mysterious UFO apparently showing a “humanoid” hovering over a busy road in Mexico.
