Some UFO fans are hailing the footage of the extreme weather phenomenon as proof that extraterrestrials live on Earth
ALIEN hunters are getting excited about this huge mysterious sphere which they believe is a UFO emerging from Hurricane Harvey.
NASA satellite footage appears to show what looks like shapes from the extreme weather phenomenon that has devastated parts of the US state of Texas.
But one conspiracy theorist Tyler Glockner believes the clip is proof that extraterrestrials live on Earth.
He said: “Look at this massive cloud which appears out of nowhere.
“It then takes the shape of a horse shoe. Right after we see a point of light which appears directly in the centre of this horse-shaped cloud.
“I do have to say it does look very anomalous – I’ve never seen something quite like this before.
“As we play it frame by frame it does, at the very least, look like something strange happened here.”
The alien enthusiast then claims the mysterious object vanishes but reappears as “hundreds, if not thousands of lone clouds”.
The video, which was posted on YouTube on Monday has garnered more than 300,000 views.
One viewer commented: “That looks like a flying saucer to me.”
Another added: “You’re on to something here… those clouds just come out of nowhere simultaneously.”
Catastrophic rainfall and heavy winds have caused vast devastation after tropical storm Harvey wreaked havoc across much of the southern US state.
The category four storm struck the state’s central coast on August 25 and is dumping unprecedented levels of rainfall.
Completely paralysed by biblical flooding, the cost of the damage in Houston — the fourth largest city in the US — is rocketing to the tens of billions of dollars as the rain continues to fall.
Areas of the city have seen more than 50 inches of rain in a matter of days — more than the average rainfall for an entire year.
